Mauritius Destination Travel Tips

We have put together a handy Mauritius Destination Guide to help you pack for your post-lockdown holiday and make your holiday memorable.

Leaving Home & Returning Home Important Travel Information

For peace of mind, we recommend pre-printing and completing all the forms and questionnaire listed below:

·     Mauritius Destination Guide

·     South Africa Exit Health Declaration form (leaving home)

·     Mauritius Public Health Covid-19 Passenger Self Declaration and Passenger Locator Form which can be found online (https://safemauritius.govmu.org). 

    This online form must be completed, printed out and signed (arrival in Mauritius)

·     South Africa Arrival Health Declaration form (returning home)

In order to avoid queues on departure from and arrival into South Africa, print out and complete the South Africa EXIT and ARRIVAL Health Declarations. These will need to be presented to the South African Customs Authorities.

All travellers, excluding children under the age of 18, must be fully vaccinated to explore the island and its attractions throughout your holiday. Refer to www.mauritiusnow.com for a list of accepted vaccines.

To enter Mauritius, all travellers including children and infants must present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure.

To enter Mauritius, it is mandatory to arrange COVID-19 insurance health cover.  We strongly recommend that you have comprehensive travel insurance, that will not only cover normal travel emergencies, but will also cover the costs of quarantine in destination should you or your travel companions test positive in the destination, some destinations have made COVID19 insurance a mandatory requirement.
