Located between Chwaka and Uroa, on Zanzibar’s east coast, Zanzibar Bay Resort offers a relaxing family atmosphere yet the resort is large enough for you to find a quiet space of your own. Enjoy a cocktail at the pool bar, wallow in the huge infinity swimming pool or savour an African sunset at the jetty bar. The 104 Rooms, furnished in authentic East African style, are located in buildings around the pool and along the back of the resort. Being on the east coast, the resort’s beach is affected by tidal movement but between Zanzibar Bay and the neighbouring property, Paradise Beach Resort, there are three swimming pools to cool off in or otherwise, the jetty allows for easy access to the sea.

Jetty Bar on the Indian Ocean is a magical place, ideal to spend your day sipping on cocktails, sunbathing or watching the sunset. During the evening the atmosphere is lifted by many activities to do and watch. On the end of the Jetty walkway, you will find a swim platform with sunbeds and shade roofs. A fantastic place to swim between half and high tide. The Jetty Bar will be one of your favourite places in the resort.
Unique experiences are yours for the taking. Spoiled for choice with Makuti Bar, Zanzi Bar, Jetty Bar and 2 pool bars.
Marumbi Restaurant is a speciality restaurant with daily local and thematic dinner. Makuti Restaurant Semi-Buffet Style serves international cuisine with a daily Swahili twist. Zanzi Restaurant is a la carte restaurant serving lunch and dinner made up of local and international cuisine.

Zanzibar Bay Resort has a fantastic infinity pool and a pool next to the restaurant that is ideal for diving. There is a children's pool for a refreshing splash. All are freshwater pools with nature-friendly sand filters.

It opened end 2019 offering a range of treatments and massages in 6 standard treatment rooms and 3 additional ones featuring a steam cabin. It also offers one sauna and a Turkish hammam.
Fun things to do besides swimming and sunbathing. Go out on the ocean and practise water sports such as kayaking, snorkelling, and diving.
